Pastor Mike Giesenhagen

Background

Mike grew up in Lakeville, Minnesota, where he enjoyed playing sports and participating in the choir program. After high school, he studied business in college and used his degree while working for Target Corporation for 6 years. While on a mission trip, Mike felt the call to pastoral ministry. Within a year he enrolled in seminary at Talbot School of Theology in southern California, where he completed his Master’s of Divinity degree. He has served in a variety of roles from youth pastor to senior adult ministry at churches ranging in size from a hundred to several thousand.

Mike has been married to his wife, Nicole, since 2013. They met through a ministry for young adults in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. They enjoy traveling, playing games, and spending time with their daughters.

Mike serves as the Pastor of Hutchinson Evangelical Free Church. His favorite part of being a pastor is the moment when he sees someone take the next step in their faith journey, and he is passionate about helping people find and take that next step.
