May 14th 2023 Announcements

• Men are invited to Men's Shoulder to Shoulder on Saturday, May 20th from 7:30 am - 9:00 am in the Gathering Room.  Breakfast and speaker provided.  Come and eat, fellowship, pray and listen to a testimony.  Call Bill H or Tim McD with questions.

• Join us for a Fellowship Meal after the worship service on Sunday, May 21st!  We will kick off summer with a grill out!  A sign up sheet for side dishes is available on the Worship Center counter.

• We will have a Senior Recognition Sunday to honor and pray for our graduating high school senior on Sunday, May 28th during our worship service.

• The Women's Bible Study "God of Freedom" by Jen Wilkin is a 10 session study of Exodus chapters 19-40.  The summer session (Thursday evenings) will start June 8th 6:30pm-8:30pm.  Please text or call: Ardis D or Patti K if you would like to attend so books can be ordered.  $25.00 for book and personal video access.

• Save the date for the Habitat Hustle 5K and HEFC Carnival on June 17th.  We are partnering with Crow River Habitat For Humanity for our annual Carnival this year so our church will be hosting carnival games and helping with the 5K event.  We will need a number of volunteers so please save the date and look for more information coming soon on how you can get involved and serve!  If you have questions, contact Nicole G.

April 30th 2023 Announcements

• A new Photo Directory will be printed soon. Contact Carrie S in the church office if your contact information has changed, if you were unable to get your photo taken, or if you are willing to volunteer to help with the directory.

• An HEFC Membership Class will be held April 30th and May 7th.  There will be different topics each week.  Classes last approximately 1 1/2 hours in the Gathering Room.  Please contact the office if you are interested in attending.

• Join us for a Spring Clean Up Day on Saturday, May 6th beginning at 8am - early afternoon.  Miscellaneous indoor and outdoor cleaning.  Bringing lawn rakes, shovels and wheelbarrows would be helpful.  Looking for a volunteer to provide lunch.  Contact Matt M with questions.

• The next Craft & Create Weekend is May 5 & 6.  Ladies can join us Friday 6pm-10pm and Saturday 9am-5pm in the Worship Center.  Bring your own beverage, snack to share, money for lunch on Saturday, project(s) to work on and supplies (Cutting mats, irons & ironing board provided).  Contact Carrie S to reserve a table (or chair).  Invite a friend and come when you can, leave when you must.

• Sign up for a 3 minute slot to get your picture taken for the Photo Directory!  Karl will be here Sunday, April 23rd and Sunday April 30th before and after the worship service and during the Fellowship Break.  Families with young children should sign up for two back to back slots.  Karl is providing his photography skills free of charge.  No sales.  Contact Carrie S in the church office with any questions, if your contact information has changed, or if you are willing to volunteer to help with the directory.

• Come to reflect on the loving sacrifice of Christ at our Good Friday service at 7:00pm on April 7th.  No childcare provided, but Easter focused activity bags will be available.

• Join us to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ at our 10:00am Easter Sunday service April 9th!  Toddlers - 2nd grade children can be dropped off BEFORE the service.  Nursery and Sermon Prep students will be dismissed during the service before the announcements.

March 26th 2023 Announcements

• A new Women's Bible Study "God of Freedom" by Jen Wilkin is a study of Exodus chapters 19-40.  In this 10 session study, journey through the story of how God shepherds His newly-liberated children into an understanding of what their freedom means: lives consecrated for service to God and to one another.  Revisit familiar scenes of the giving of the Ten Commandments, the idolatrous worship of a golden calf, and of the intricate details of the tabernacle.  And with fresh perspective, ask what these stories teach God's children today about how to live as those set free.  The spring session (Thursday mornings) will start Thursday April 13th 8:30am - 10:15am.  Summer session (evening study) will start in June with days and start time to be determined by the group.  Please text or call: Twyla G, Ardis D or Patti K if you would like to attend by Sunday April 2nd so books can be ordered.  $25.00 for book and personal video access.
