September 17th 2023 Announcements

  • An HEFC Membership Class will be held October 1st and 8th.  There will be different topics each week.  Classes last approximately 1 1/2 hours.  Please contact the church office if you are interested in attending.

  • A nomination letter was emailed to HEFC members Friday.  Please read and respond by October 15th.  Hard copies are available upon request.

  • Are you planning to go on the HEFC Mission Trip to Kentucky next year?  Dates are June 22-29, 2024.  The first payment is due October 1st.  Total cost is $676/person + travel expenses (hotel + gas).  Not sure yet?  Prayerfully consider joining the team.  It is a week that, for those who have gone, has blessed them as much as they have been able to bless the ministry partners there.  There are no specific skill requirements - our ministry partners will find the perfect place for you to minister in the ways that you are able!  People of all ages can join us (children under 14 should have a parent on the team as well though).  Please contact Ann B for more information on how to join the team or details on how to register.

  • Save the date for a meet and greet Baby Shower for Edie N and baby Edwin on Saturday, October 14th!

  • There is a NEW flier available for Fall 2023 Small Groups.  Feel free to pick one up and reach out to the contact person for more details if there is a group you would like to join.

  • The next Craft & Create Weekend is September 15th & 16th.  Friday 6-10pm and Saturday 9am-5pm.  Ladies can bring their own beverage, snack to share, money for lunch on Saturday, project(s) to work on and supplies (Cutting mats, irons & ironing board provided).  Contact Carrie S to reserve a table (or chair).  Invite a friend and come when you can, leave when you must!

  • Mark you calendars for Sunday September 10th!  We will have our official Small Group Kick-Off, a Congregational Meeting to vote in new HEFC members Ron & Carol P and Doug & Felice Z, as well as a Fellowship Meal!  Sign up on the clipboard in the Worship Center for the potluck!

  • A new Women's Fall Bible Study is starting September 14th!  This is a 10 session verse-by-verse study of First Samuel with The Village Church and Bible teacher Jen Wilkin.  The book of 1st Samuel introduces one of the most fascinating stories in all of Scripture, the reign of King David.  Trace the lives of several key characters and explore the themes of king and kingdom, pointing to our divine King, Jesus Christ.  This 10 week study starts Thursday, September 14th.  Two times are available:  Morning: 9:00 - 10:45 am and Evening: 6:30 - 8:15 pm.  Cost is $20.  Please call or text Patti K by September 1st so materials can be ordered.

  • The Children's Ministry remodel is nearing completion.  If you are able to help with this project please contact Matt M, Bill H or Bob S.

This is especially important for reoccurring events. To use our buildings for non ministry purposes a Building Usage Request form must be filled out.

  • We are looking to better understand how well connected our church family is to small groups, bible studies, and opportunities to serve.  Please fill out the HEFC Involvement Survey so that we can connect our church family to one another and meet the needs of our growing community!  Email your copy to us at info@hutchefree.org or fill out a paper copy in the Worship Center by August 23rd.  This will help us prepare for our Involvement Sunday August 27th when we will will highlight our HEFC ministries and volunteer opportunities and encourage small groups!

  • For this year's Common Cup Fall School Drive we are collecting book bags, red pens, and colored pencils (8 or 12 count).  Supplies can be dropped off in the Worship Center foyer.  Collection day is August 14th.

August 6th 2023 Announcements

  • A special benevolence offering is collected on the first Sunday of each month to provide for special needs in our church family.  You may place your benevolence offering in the designated black offering box on Sunday.

  • On Sunday, August 13th MN Adult & Teen Challenge will be leading our worship service and sharing testimonies.  Children will be dismissed for Children's Church toward the beginning of the service as some of the stories may be "raw".

  • Pastor Mike will be unavailable August 7-10.  The Church Office will be closed Tuesday, August 8th and Thursday August 10th.  Carrie will be in the office her regular hours Monday 1-5, Wednesday 1-4 and Friday 1-4.  Please reach out to an elder, deacon/ess or small group leader for any urgent needs.
