• Join the Elders for our Monthly Prayer Time on Sunday, January 19 after the worship service.  We will pray for our church, our community, and our country on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

• 25 Year Anniversary at HEFC

  As we enter into the new year, please spend some time in prayer reflecting on the upcoming celebration of the 25-year anniversary of HEFC. There will be opportunities to share in this celebration through service and sharing and the Missions and Outreach Team will be looking for willing hearts to step forward to take on some important tasks. In addition, please be looking through your collections for photos for any HEFC memories as we will soon be asking for them. At this time, please do not send photos to the church office as it is not our wish to place the burden there.

• Reminder: HEFC collects granola bars year round for the Common Cup Weekend Food Program.  Please place donations in the designated bin in the Worship Center foyer.

December 22nd Announcements

• Join us for our Candlelight Christmas Eve Service at 5:00pm on December 24th as we celebrate and reflect on the birth of Jesus the Light of the World.

• Join us as we go Christmas caroling to spread the story and joy of Jesus in our community on Thursday, December 12.  Meet at the Worship Center 6:00-6:15pm.  We will leave promptly at 6:15 to sing for about an hour.  Bring a snack to share if you would like for a short fellowship time afterwards. • The annual Cookie Day will be on Tuesday, December 3rd at 10am in the Ministry Center Commons Area.  Ladies can bring their prebaked cookies/bars/treats and package them together to be given to families and individuals who need to feel the love of Jesus Christ this Christmas season. Lunch will be provided.   Contact Dede H with questions.

  Ideas are coming along for the celebration. We will be dividing up various areas of the celebration and looking for volunteers to head up specific areas. In this way, we hope to have everyone take part. Our first need is for an A/V team. We need a crew of people who are willing to create a series of up to 5 videos. The videos should be about 3-5 minutes in length. The idea for the videos is that we will learn how people feel about HEFC. Examples for content could be: first impressions, favorite lesson/event, historical background and so on. The possibilities are many. We need creative folks who are willing to film and edit the videos so that for a few weeks before the anniversary we can enjoy them at Sunday services and then have one for the day of the celebration as well. You could use man-on-the-street interviews, video calls with past members, clips from services...Please contact Amanda D if you are interested in being part of this team. Possible roles would include: writing, filming, editor, host, producer, possibly more.

November 24th Announcements

• Praise God!  67 filled boxes were delivered this week to the Operation Christmas Child donation center in Hutchinson. Thank you for your generous participation.  Thank you also to Carol P and her knitting friends for sharing hats.  Let's pray that the children who receive boxes will learn of Jesus and choose to do follow-up lessons.  You are a blessing!

• 10 volunteers are needed to help with the HAY lunch from 10:00am - 1:00pm on Thursday, November 21. Contact Dede H if you can help by making sandwiches, setting up the serving area and serving food to the high school students.

• Join us for our annual Thanksgiving Testimony Sunday on November 24th during our 10:00 worship service.  We will also share a Fellowship Meal and hold our November Business Meeting.  Please sign up on the sheet in the Worship Center for an item to bring to our meal.  HEFC members have been sent an email with the proposed 2025 HEFC spending plan, leadership ballot and names of potential new members.

• Save the date for the Children's Ministry Christmas Program to be held during the worship service on Sunday, December 15th.
