Ladies can bring: project(s) to work on and supplies, your own beverage, a snack to share, money for lunch on Saturday, and a friend! December 12th 2021 Announcements

  • Our 2021 Children's Ministry Christmas Program, "Birthday of the King" will be on December 12! Please join us during the service for this celebration of our Savior.

  • Ministry Center Shower: Ladies, You’re Invited! “Equipping HEFC for Ministry” Tuesday, Dec. 14, 7 p.m. Located in our newly renovated space. Appetizers and refreshments provided. Registered at Target. Please bring gifts wrapped (no name or cards necessary).

  • Another service project opportunity: purchasing items for the food shelves in the three counties represented in our church body: Meeker, McLeod, and Sibley Counties. If you would like to be involved, please call or text Patti K at 320-583-8964. The funds for this event have been approved by the Deacon Board. This event is open to individuals and families. Assembling of hygiene bags will be December 19th after the worship service. Others can help by delivering items to the Food Shelves.

December 5th 2021 Announcements

  • Ladies can join together in the church Ministry Center kitchen for the annual Cookie Day on Wednesday, December 8th at 10am. Please bring pre-baked Christmas cookies/bars/treats to be assembled in provided containers. If you can't be there on cookie day but would like to participate, please have your home baked goods at the church by the morning of 12/8. The cookie containers will be delivered to families in and outside of our church family who need to feel the love of Jesus Christ this Christmas. Soup will be provided.   • Christmas Community Service Project: We are making No Sew, Tied Fleece Blankets. Looking for individuals, families, small groups or at our church-wide project dates to help tie blankets. Our goal is to make 14 blankets by Christmas, for Cedar Crest Assisted Living Center residents in Silver Lake. Blankets will include our stitched church logo in the corner and a message of the gospel. What do you need? Scissors and the ability to tie a knot. Anyone wishing to "purchase" a blanket for giving can donate $15.

Parents/Guardians, please bring your kiddos to Children's Ministry each Sunday (before the fellowship break) to receive your family's color-coded stickers. Only the adult with the correct sticker can pick up their kids after the service. If you have questions, contact Elyse or Missy.

  • Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes can be brought to church for the next two Sundays. Don’t forget to label your box for a boy or girl and mark the age. Extra labels are at church or they can be found online at samaritanspurse.org/occ. The last collection date for Operation Christmas Child at HEFC is Sunday, November 14.

  • Children's Ministry is implementing a new check-in system!   • The HEFC Leadership Nomination letters are now available for members. Please pick one up in your mail folder. If you would like one emailed to you contact the church office. Nominations are due Oct 31st. Voting will happen at our Congregational Business Meeting Sunday, November 21st.

  • A Small Group Leaders Meeting will be held on Sunday, October 31st after the worship service. Pastor Mike will host the meeting for a short time of connection for those leading a small group.

  • We're looking to see how many folks are interested in participating in a week-long Mission Trip next year. Location is yet to be determined. Contact Ann B or Pastor Mike if interested.

  • October is Pastor Appreciation Month! Take this month to pray for, bless and encourage our pastor!

  • Some empty Operation Christmas Child boxes have disappeared from the table. Way to go, church! Filled Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes can be brought to church where they will be kept for delivery. Please remember the request of $9 per shoebox for shipping and other expenses. If you would like to adopt a shoebox and help someone with the sending costs, please make a check out to Samaritan’s Purse and give it to Carrie N who will deliver those with the shoeboxes.

  • Parents, teachers and volunteers are invited to a Children's' Ministry Open House on Sunday, October 3rd! The open house and annual Parent/Teacher/Volunteer meeting will be held after church.

  • Join us for an Outdoor Workday on Saturday, October 16th 8:00am - Noon! We will be doing some landscaping, tree trimming and painting. We are looking for volunteers to provide lunch so the time can be extended. Rain/follow up date: October 23. Contact Matt M with any questions.
