November 26th Announcements

  • Praise God, we went above our challenge for the number of boxes for Operation Christmas Child!  When our filled boxes were being loaded for the local collection site, a few more boxes were waiting to be added.  So, the final count of boxes from HEFC totaled 59!  When our boxes were taken to the site in Hutchinson, the persons rejoiced because they had a goal of 2000 boxes, and our boxes completed that goal!  Thank you for participating in this outreach mission through Samaritan's Purse.  And thank you to our Elders for participating in our challenge to wear ugly sweaters if we made our goal!  You all looked (and sounded) very festive at the service!

Thanksgiving Sharing Service  -  Come prepared to share a testimony of what God has been doing so we can give thanks to Him together!

Fellowship Meal  -  There is a sign up sheet on the fellowship counter for you to sign up for what you would like to bring for the meal.

November Business Meeting  -  HEFC members were sent an email with information on the business meeting.  Paper copies will be provided upon request.

  • Wow!  Fifty Operation Christmas Child boxes were prepared for the display table, and all of those have disappeared. Thanks for participating in this opportunity to share the gospel story of Jesus around the world through a shoebox. More empty boxes will be ready for this Sunday which will be the last time to take one.  All filled and labeled boxes must be returned on Sunday, November 19 or before.

  • The Missions and Outreach Team at HEFC would like to add some fellowship fun to the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child collection effort.  We would like to set a goal of 45 boxes of gifts to be sent from the congregation.  When that goal is met, we have some fun in store.  On the last day of box collection, November 19, we propose that the Elders attend service in ugly Christmas sweaters.  This will serve 2 purposes: a fun way to celebrate our giving and an effective way for all present to know who our Elders are.  Thank you to those who donated Christmas notions and/or came to the Craft and Create time to decorate the sweaters.
